iOS 7 Bluetooth won't pair with Bose

Having the same issue with my Bose Soundlink and iPad 2. iPhone 4s works fine. And Macbook Pro 13" continues to connect--so not the speaker. Help please.

Duh. Figured it out. Have to re-pair by holding down the bluetooth button vs just tapping it to connect with an already discovered device.

You need to update the software on the Bose, you can get the details from their customer services or do as I did and take it to the Bose outlet and get them to do it. It now works perfectly.

Press the Bluetooth bottom on the SoundLink Mini and hold it three seconds. A blue light will blink. After the button is released, the light will be solid blue and you will be able to pair your device. I just did with my IPad 2, running i07, latest update.

I was struggling with the same thing. You need to reset the Bose Soundlink, then try pairing it again.

Reset the SoundLink® Mobile speaker II: Press the mute button for 10 seconds. Your Bluetooth device is disconnected and the SoundLink®. Mobile speaker II turns off. Then press Power to turn the SoundLink®

Mobile speaker II back on.

I have a BOSE SoundDock 10 and bluetooth doesn't operate with iOS 7. But I found that if you press down the bluetooth button in front of the SoundDock for about 5-10 sec. you will see the bluetooth light flashing slowly. And then you will be able to connect your device with iOS 7. Have fun

That last suggestion helped a lot, but I had a hard time recreating it a second time.

I follow the i (information) button and tell the iPad to "Forget this device", then try to re-instate the pairing. Each time the wheels spin for almost 5 minutes. Finally it just paired. Yet when I tried to repeat that, it spun and thought about pairing even longer.

I need a magical combination of steps to follow, and then I have to explain it to my wife, who just knows how to turn it on, yet she needs to use this speaker with her iPad daily at her studio. I thought that by 2013 it would be easy :-(

My wife has an iPhone 5 with iOS7 and all updates (as of 27 Dec '13). This solution worked like a charm--thanks!

I had the same problem with my iphone 5 I did what nfranchet below suggested and it worked right away. I held down the mute button on the Bose for 10 seconds. After that the speaker was reset and it paired instantly with my phone.
