Since the upgrade on my iPad the sound has started to have what sounds like static even with the sound turned down its impossible for someone to hear my voice on Skype for the background static noise

(A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.
Since the upgrade this week my sound has gone wrong
