Has anyone had recent issues with iCloud mail and Outlook 2011?

As it works as designed using Mail the issue lies with Outlook, contact Microsoft (if you are sure that you entered the settings correctly)

You have in fact not entered them correctly, the outgoing server should be SMTP.mail.me.com, you appear to have used SMTP.me.com.

Once more, verify every setting in Outlook against the same setting in Mail, one is clearly wrong, there may be more

As I said before, you must enter everything exactly, similar will not work.

Enter the settings I posted at the link, do not change or skip any ot them.

Your screenshot shows incorrect settings, I am not surprised that they do not work.

The settings in MAC MAIL does not state which port it uses. Just the standart port. Therefore i chose to use standard ports. It automatically used 25. I have also tried with the other ones. - not working! And yes i have tried exactly those settings in the quide - NOT working.

i have no problems getting a green light in the status panel, but as i state in the first problem explanation, i cant recieve emails. I have tried the same settings as yours, but it wont work. The only difference is that i have a @me.com instead os af @mac.com.

The mail settings I gave you explicitly state that the SMTP port is 587, (line 3)

yet you used 25 instead, why?

And did you follow instructions and enter your complete email address as your user name (line 5)

Then contact Microsoft support, Outlook (poor as it is) is their application.

When it automatically used 25 was when i was copying the mac mail settings.

Yes i have tried the 587 port and yes i have tried the complete address.

It works perfectly for me, in every mail client I tested it in, including Outlook (2003 to 2010 in Windows and 2008 + 2011 on a Mac) Mac Mail, Postbox, Thunderbird, etc etc.

A server address and its settings do not vary from client to client, there is one correct set.

Contact Microsoft support, this is not an Apple issue.
