I was getting a random .pdf file as the album art, and then I finally noticed under the Options tab that the media was set to "Mixed". Why it would do that when importing a .mp3 file is beyond me. But when I finally changed that to Music, I noticed some .pdf files appearing in the tracks, and I just deleted them. Had to do the operation until it finally showed the album as Music, not Mixed. Then I was able to import the album artwork I wanted and it stuck. Good luck!

I downloaded the Bright Eyes Album I'm Wide Awake It's Morning from the Itunes store awhile back, and it has the wrong artwork. It seems like it has the next artist in my lbrary. It has artwork from the band Bronze Radio. I've left clicked, and tried erasing the artwork, and manually adding new artwork, but it will never stay. What's the problem? I almost never get music, from the itunes store, as I usually burn CD's to my library. After not even being able to burn an mp3 quality disc, wt the proper artwork, I probably never will again.

This does not work. I have the same problem of having the wrong artwork on an album and I have tried everything to change it but it will never change. I have deleted the artwork from the gallery (the small square at the top when you click get info) and then going to add artwork. I add the correct artwork and it looks like it takes but it does not run through the songs like it did before I updated iTunes. I have 12.0.1.26. This problem is driving me crazy. Please help!!

I finally figured it out. I had to turn off iTunes Match, then I right click on album with the wrong artwork, clicked on get info, then i clicked on the small artwork on the top and hit delete then hit ok. That took the wrong artwork out. Then I went back to get info clicked on artwork bar and then add artwork, opened the correct artwork and hit ok. Then I had to turn iTunes match back on and when it updated it kept the correct artwork.

I am aware that my device is out of date. I am also aware that I'm epileptic and my parents are both working jobs to keep our family standing, so no, I'm not going to waste what should be my college fund on a new brand of electronic-a potential health risk-unless my iPod is physically incapable of functioning. Thank you for your culture-biased advice, which is not applicable to my 2005 Mac and iTunes version 6.
