good to see that all went fine with your project. But I want to answer (late, caused by the different time zones) your question, where all the document media content is stored.

All the media, Pages handles in open documents, are stored in the memory. So if the drive you opened the document from is not plugged anymore and you want to edit the documents content with extern apps (not with Pages), you have to save the document on your HD first. Than you can do the control-click thing on the documents icon to show the contextual menu to show the package content.
