videos show sideways in computer

This question had been posted before but not answered.

When I import videos into my PC from iPhone 5 the videos show sideways and I don't know how to flip them right up in my copmputer. Unfortunatelly, the videos were deleted from the iPhone. Does any one have a solution for this problem?

Any helps will be much appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for your response. I am using Windows 7, 32 Bit and it allows you to rotate a picture but not a video. The videos played correctly on my iPhone but when I imported them into my computer they show sideways. Something happened in the importing process. Do you know of a program I can use in my computer to rotate these videos?

Thank you

The orientation or your iPhone is encoded in the EXIF data in the video file. If your video playback software is new enough and properly recognizes the EXIF data, it will display the video properly.

IF it is not, you will need to use a video editing software to rotate it for you. Windows 7 might allow you to right clock on the video file icon and specify to "Rotate 90 Clockwise" or "Rotate 90 Counter Clockwise"
