Music video won't play wide screen since ios7 update

I discovered last night that I can play videos on my iPhone 5c through the iTunes app but only get the portrait mode, but if I play them through the Videos app I get the landscape mode. On my iPad 4 I can't play them through iTunes app at all, only in the Videos app. I believe this issue started with iOS 6 (someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong!). I am able to create a video playlist within iTunes on my phone, however. Small consolation, but still a small workaround.

I have had the same problem, only since upgrading my iphone4s to the ios 7, I can't seem to make it work for me again. I'm soooo frustrated! I don't want the stupid album cover thing I want to see my music videos when I workout!

Play them in the video app.

That doesn't change a thing.

Sounds great but you can't use playlist in the video app so there is no point unless all you do is watch and select video's individually. It certainly isnt safe to do on a treadmill. The other users are correct, the functionality was removed and an equal replacement of the same features is no longer available.

Jessjane, The Apple customers that use the music app feature in landscape mode all agree, but the challenge is to get the Apple developers that feel they know what we want to change it back. They're not in sync with customer needs.

The playlist mix of music and videos will work fine while on a treadmill. It will play them but you won't see them.

Most people don't watch the actual video while running.

Yes I do watch videos while on treadmill for 90 mintes that is why I am using " MVP Player" Good app it works

I have this problem too. And yes, when I get on the treadmill I want to watch my music video playlist without having to stop and look for another one. I tend to stay on the treadmill or eliptical longer when I get lost in the music videos. I could pay $2.99 for the MVP player app (thanks mgy 101!). OR APPLE COULD JUST PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS! Why in the world would Apple make music videos worse? There is no reason for me to keep my Iphone if I can't watch my Itunes videos. This is why I switched from Droid to Iphone in the first place, years ago. I'm seriously thinking about just going back to an Ipod for my music videos and dropping the Iphone. I miss the slide-out keyboard anyway--too many typo's from my apparantly large fingers!

I also have an iPhone 4S with the updated iOS 7. Since the update I can't play my music video collection, or rather the sound track will play but no video.

Very frustrating, considering my old Windows laptop continues to have the complete function.

What were Apple thinking?
