iOS 7.0.2 iMessage problems

I would suggest doing this to fix your message problems though.

1.Go to Settings > Messages > Send and Receive and sign out of your Apple ID

2. The turn iMessage off

3. Power cycle the iPhone

4. Turn iMessage on

5. Sign back in with your Apple ID and select your Send/Receive preferences.

This solution seems to have solved the problem for many users. It worked wonderfully for my wife and I.

Quick update, in case it helps anyone. Since changing iMessage settings about a day and a half ago, I've had zero issues. Still keeping fingers crossed.

(iMessage settings changes--deselect other, non-Apple accounts).

I am having the same issue with iMessage on my iPhone 5 with 7.0.2. I did a reset on network settings but nothing has helped. Hopefully they will release a fix soon as people are sending me messages but I am not getting them.

Many of us do call apple reps, this hasn't helped either.

Restarting the Network Settings works for me, at least it's sending iMessages fine at this time.

Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings.

I tried what DLMartin said to do....check your setting in messages. I made sure only my phone number and Apple email were check and so far, it seems to have fixed the problem....at least for now. When I called Apple, they will not say it is a software glitch. The send you instructions on how to reset to factory settings.

All these resets and restores cannot be good to keep on doing can it?

I fixed my messages by reset, reset network settings.

Before that fix, I deleted all the message threads on all devices, it worked on getting back apple users who updated to ios7 , but not on my contacts that didn't update. That's how it seems to work.

So test your texts on contacts who haven't updated,

Last year I sent a feedback complaint and actually got a reply from a nice gentleman who emailed me and helped me.

These IOS 7 complaints go ignored.

Tried resetting the network. Messages got lost. Some came up on iPad but not on iPhone... and sometimes on the Mac... but still not on the phone (the device I actually carry aounrd)

It's been a couple of weeks. Still no fix.

Everyone I tell laughs and says "wouldn't happen if Steve Jobs was still running Apple"... which is really sad... because it's probably true... 😕

I am having the same problem too.

I have a brand new 5S and when I send an iMessage, it seems to not send. It even says "message not delivered". However, it does send the message... Even to non-Apple users... MOST of the time, which is kind of weird, but bot the point.

However, hard reset doesn't work at ALL to fix this. I have tried everything, and everyone in my entire family with Apple has told me they are experiencing the same issues after updating to 7.0.2. That's like, 15 different devices. Hope they fix this soon.
