Help Siri and keyboard can't hear me

one thing that happened to me was that i have an JBL Onbeat Extreme bluetooth speaker, and even if it is switched off, the ipad connects to it, but no mike or speakers switched on. And so when i try to speak to Siri, it doesnt work because the jbl bluetooth speakers and microphone are both switched off, and even if not, are too far away to her me.

I noticed the problem also because it worked with earpods and not when i took them out. It seems the earpods deactivated the bluetooth connection, but reactivated it when unplugging the earpods again

This worked for me as well... this was driving me crazy any time I didn't have my phone hooked to earbuds of synced to the car! Thanks!!

Try cleaning the headphone port out. I used a piece of a business card and an alcohol swab I did just that and siri started working again. Make sure not to hit the water indicator with the alcohol lol.

I know this sounds weird, but you have to scream at your phone loudly! Or slap the part of your phone with the front facing camera is into your palm to create a loud sound… I found this answer on another thread, and Siri started working immediately after I tried it. Activate Siri, and then make a loud sound, it's that simple!

I went to settings > reset> reset network settings

Then Siri worked again

I have tried all of the suggestions. I have done a hard reset and also wiped and restored from a backup. I have yelled, tapped, cleaned with alcohol. Phone picks up clear voice from front camera and back camera video. Phone also records voice memos. Siri and voice text only work with headphones in. I do not have anything connected via blue tooth. I have also turned on, turned off, etc. Any more suggestions?

My issue was Bluetooth. Siri couldn't hear me bc the Bluetooth speaker apparently had a microphone on it. Tried speaking into the speaker and it worked. Hoped this helps

What I did was turn siri completely off, then I turned my phone off for a few seconds. Then turned it on and turned siri on and it Thankfully worked!!

Hi, I'm having the same issue with my iPhone 6s which Siri cannot hear me! I tried using your method to resolve but it was unsuccessful! Is there other methods I could try?
