I just got prescription sunglasses for the first time and discovered I can't see what's on my iPad screen. Dr. didn't warn my about this and it never occurred to me to ask. Is there a certain kind of sunglass lens that let's you read your iPad outside? I'd planned to read reports that I need for work while sitting outside. Thank you for your help.

You likely have polarized sunglasses. If you turn your iPad from portrait to landscape (or vice versa) you'll be able to see your screen. I've experienced that with my sunglasses... The workaround to rotate it 90 degrees works for me 🙂

Hadn't come across this problem before.
Please take your iPad to your opticians and ask them what's causing your problem. It may be related to polarised lenses but it could be an anti-glare process or something else. If they have an iPad to check out they'll understand the problem and be able to recommend something to you.
It can't be fixed. That's how LCD displays work: they use polarised screens. And some sunglasses use polarised screens to reduce reflected glare on horizontal surfaces. But your optician will sell sunglasses which do not use polarised screens.
