So, situation is no different to anyone here. However, I have some other information:
Firstly I'm running iOS 7.04 on a iPhone 4S.
- I reset my phone to factory setting and just set up email ONLY (say Exchange). Guess, what, email started to work great. I would send a test message to myself from the iphone and it would appear in my inbox instantaneously.
- Then I hooked the device up and restored my iPhone. It did the setting, apps, music, etc. As soon as I did the initial restore (you know, it takes about 5 minutes before the device restarts... before installing the apps/music, etc). I noticed that the email stopped working (ie. I send a test message to myself and it does not appear in my inbox - like what it has done all along).
- Ok, I thought there may be an app that is corrupting things. So, I removed all apps via iTunes, backed up the device. I then put the iPhone back to factory settings. Again, just setup email and as before, all was working fine. I then restored the my device (this time without the apps). Unfortunately, the email went back to it old habits ie. I send a test from the iphone and it does not appear in the inbox.
- I can say, this problem happens across ALL my email accounts (gmail, exchange, etc).
So, there seems to be something in the base configuration (and not the apps) that is impacting ALL email accounts such that email sent from the iphone does not get delivered or where there is a long delay in the delivery.
Again, this happened ONLY after I upgraded to 7.03 which I have now upgraded to 7.04. No difference.
