After downloading the new ios7 to my iphone4s I've been unable to send iMessages to other people. I am able to receive iMessages however cannot respond to them via iMessage. It continues to tell me that it is sending but never sends.

Many are experiecing this issue over the last few days. A phone reset or going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings resolves the issue.

I had the same thing happening to me on my iPhone5 and my iPad3. I power cycled them both and iMeassage was working after they came back up. No reset of the network setttings needed. Might not work for everyone, but that's what worked for me.

this does NOT work. It worked for a while (as did restarting the previous times this bug hit me). I reset these settigns last night and thought all was well, but it's happening AGAIN right now. I sent a message successfully to one person, then 30 seconds later tried sending to a 2nd one and it's Sending... forever. Very frustrating!!!!

No matter what I try, no matter how may instructions I following cannot get my iMessage to work..... It shows my email when I log into account but my number is gray'd out....this is very frustrating......HELP...!!!!

since upgrading to iOS7 - i cannot receive any SMS or MMS on my phone. I get the following error message: IMessage Activation Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again. The network is fine. My log in details are working for all other elements. I have tried the netwrok reset, but this then lost all my connections, i rebooted and all working... except, still, no iMessage! Any other ideas?

imessage is not working for me. i tried the fix suggested but it didn't work. same with a friend at work. when sending a message on imessage i don't get an error. it looks like it went through. but my wife doesn't receive it -- on her iphone. only solution is to turn off imessage on my phone and my wife's phone. no more imessage for me until apple gets it sorted out.

I wonder how many friendships will end over this lol

Our issue is being expereicned around the world and is now in all media...an eg: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/imessage-ios-working-properly-apple-fix-update/ story?id=20444862 .Not sure i however believe apple that its just few of us unlucky souls. hopefully 7.03 patch will be relaeased soon and their testing gets better than on 7.02 and it then doesn't break something else...

Having the same problem after "upgrading" to iOS7.

Resetting network settings, signing in and out of Apple ID and turning iMessage on and off does not work.

Everybody is saying that network reset will help.

It does NOT work.
I spoke with Apple who also told me to do the network reset.
Up until last night everything was perfect. But then suddenly the iMessage stopped working.
After doing the reset like 50 times, it still only works with ONE of my friends. I can't send to anybody else.

And I know that they have Wifi in order and I have my wifi in order, then it should work with more then just

one contact ?! I find it strange that apples service center actualy didn't have any answer to me when I called for help.

So any more advice on how to make it work again ?

The network reset did not work as a permanent solution for me. It's been happening more and more frequently, but mainly on my iPad. When the iMessage won't send, I've just been power cycling my iPad or iPhone. When it comes back up, it says the iMessage was not sent and I just resend it. It's annoying but it works and it's not as invasive as resetting the network settings.

I've been having the same problem....

iMessage was working fine, and still does with everyone, except yesterday morning, it suddenly stopped working between my girlfriend and I (had repeated delivery errors, resent as a text ) Now it's stuck in SMS Text mode with her and I have been unable to revert it. I've tried all of the solutions offered, ie; network reset, turning imessage off and on along with rebooting between, disabled everything, re-enabled everything. I updated to ISO 7.3 last night and it still hasn't corrected the issue. As of today, everyone else is still working as an imessage except for her. I receive iMessages from her, but mine only respond as texts. To top that, I attempted to respond to a group message where both she and the other recepiant are both iphone users to which all of the previous messages were imessages and it only sends text responses to that thread now. I even tried facetime with her to see if the phone would figure it out, but no avail there either. I can, however, send her imessages using her apple id, but that, in turn, created a new thread altogther.

I am completely stumped....

I have the same issue, and can not find a solution. I have tried reset the network, reset the phone, complete reset, and turn off the imessage and back on. Nothing has worked. I can send some text messages, but majority of text message will not send.... Any new solutions would be appreciated....
