My sound effects is not working

(A) Reset iPad

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Note: Data will not be affected.

(B) Reset all settings

Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings

Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

No Sound

Did you tap the little bell to unmute the iPad?

Try these steps again:

1. Reset iPad

2. Reset All Settings

3. Restore to Factory Default

If you have restored to Factory Default and the problem still persist, it's time to make an appointment with Apple.
