Ios7 problems, safari crashes

This new iOS 7 has ruined the whole ipad experience for me. I use this as a browser, email tool and music library. The browser randomly crashes on a very frequent bases, some times a page opens and other times the same page crashes safari and I have to relaunch. The browser seems sluggish I feel like I just took a giant step backwards. Email is clunky and slow to respond, requires multiple touches to change folders. Music sound terrible, has hangs in sound and generally sounds glitchy. Not at all enjoyable.

I wish I had just kept dismissing the pop up asking me to update.

If you asked me a week ago about the ipad I would have told you it was great. If it was lost or stolen I would run out that day and buy a replacement. Ask me now and I would say good riddance.

Apple really blew it on this one, they took an excellent product and turned it into a frustrating pile of hardware. If ios7 was not intended for the ipad 2 why are their servers pushing it out to devices that they should not.

I have searched and found that I am not alone in these problems but have not seen any solutions.

So I started this thread and I am amazed at the lack of response from Apple. What a load of bs from Apple forcing the app builders to fix their problem. While I have multiple gripes about iOS 7 the fact that safari still crashes on a random yet frequent bases still amazes me. Correct me if I am wrong but is not safari an apple app? Will the same or else mentality apply to them self.

My experience with the ipad prior to the iOS 7 release was so good that I keep hoping that apple will step it up and fix this. Unfortunately they are seem to be taking the deflection / denial route.

I have just picked up a note 3 and so far so good. Not as good as my ipad was when it worked but it is nice not having random crashes and flash site are not an issue.

Apple if you are listening ....I am no longer promoting your product. I can literally name off over 100 people that purchased an ipad based on my recommendation, there will be no other recommendations coming from me. If this was a car there are laws that would require a recall on your poorly executed iOS. Shame on you!

Looks like i have just joined this club,.. new shiny and light iPad Air on iOS7 (sold my iPad 3 running iOS6)

Anyways new iPad Air repeatedly crashing with Safari, sometimes in the mail ap also,..

reading these threads it seems its quite a common problem,.. I am an Apple fanboy so i guess i will put up with it as i am sure Apple will fix it, its just a matter of when,..😕 however just imagine if its your first Apple purchase,.. seen and read all the hype about Apple products, saved up all you pennies to afford/purchase a new iPad Air, start using it and oh no,.. repeated crashes ,.. i don't suppose they would be too impressed, probably slate Apple to their friends and never buy Apple products again, and shock horror,.. worst still go over to the dark side and buy a Samsung tablet,,,

Hope iOS 7.1 fixies it as someone called Martyn on this thread seems to suggests,..

I am not sure what you mean by " number shocking".

I tried using the ipad again this morning and was making a lengthy reply on another forum I follow (boats not ipad) and the key board froze up at least a dozen times. I would have to hide the keyboard and the bring it back up to finish the post. The joy is gone, even unlocking the screen is intermittent, sometimes when you type in the password it clicks like it is typing but no text is put up in the box. You have to check to see if the curser is flashing in the box. I have said it before but I miss the days when it just worked, none of the bs of having to check this and check that.

I would just sell this but unlike apple my ethics will not allow me to sell a pos off to an unsuspecting buyer.

'numbers' shocking,... what i mean is that not only is there a big question mark over how poorly exectued iOS7 has been deployed, but there is iWorks such as 'numbers' which has been re-written from the ground up and, my gosh,.. its 'shocking' half the features are missing,.. it works so clunky that i had to bin it and add excel back on to my mac,..i had been trying to only use Apple software and ditch microsoft such as numbers in lieu of excel and keynote in lieu of powerpoint etc.,, its a shame but Apples latest re-written offerings are such a let down,..

I have the same problem, ios 7 is repeatedly crashing on my new iPad mini.. I have tried to reset it, but that doesn't help at all. While zooming in safari it crashes very often and it always crashes if I zoom on the swedish site http://vasttrafik.se .. I've always been a fan of Apple products, but if they don't fix the problem soon I'm going to sell my ipad and buy a nexus 7 instead..

I gave up on my Air and returned it.

i am now using a Verizon Nokia Lumina 2520 Tablet, yeah it's Winsows 8.1RT, but at least it is rock solid, IE11 never crashes, full adobe flash support. For web surfing, email, facebook, youtube and Netflix, this tablet rocks.

i am not a gamer. The only thing I miss about the my Apple Air, is the cool Apple case which was $80.00 but worth it. No good cases yet available for my 2520.

oh well now I am saving up dor rhe new Mac Pro which will set me back 5k. Apple has officialy become a luxury product where form is more important then function. If only Steve Jobs was still alive. What a shame Apple

I can't return my Air as it was an insurance co replacement for one I dropped. It quit on Safari again today and even quit once on Chrome.

Then it wouldn't connect to my home wifi. MacBook Pro right next to it was online, no problem. So had to re-enter my wireless network key.

It is just not fit for purpose for a tablet this expensive. When will they wake up and sort it out? Imagine they're too busy raking in the dollars as it's Xmas.

Does anyone know someone who has a new Air with iOS7 who isn't having any problems?
