Ios7 problems, safari crashes

This new iOS 7 has ruined the whole ipad experience for me. I use this as a browser, email tool and music library. The browser randomly crashes on a very frequent bases, some times a page opens and other times the same page crashes safari and I have to relaunch. The browser seems sluggish I feel like I just took a giant step backwards. Email is clunky and slow to respond, requires multiple touches to change folders. Music sound terrible, has hangs in sound and generally sounds glitchy. Not at all enjoyable.

I wish I had just kept dismissing the pop up asking me to update.

If you asked me a week ago about the ipad I would have told you it was great. If it was lost or stolen I would run out that day and buy a replacement. Ask me now and I would say good riddance.

Apple really blew it on this one, they took an excellent product and turned it into a frustrating pile of hardware. If ios7 was not intended for the ipad 2 why are their servers pushing it out to devices that they should not.

I have searched and found that I am not alone in these problems but have not seen any solutions.

Hi Mini-Mac: I have done the same thing, backed up everything in both icloud and itunes, then did a complete recovery wipeout of my mini. I have been putting it thru the paces with just the original app's, trying every one. Mostly using safari, into yahoo and doing lots of reading but no games. The crashes are less but still happen, black screen with or without apple in middle. At times the iPad will come back but usually stay black. If I close the cover of my case, the slider screen with come back in 10 to 15 minutes, but then will crap out after starting browsing or just reading. Haven't been to the apple store (50 miles away) and I bought this thing thru amazon...am I really screwed on this, as it is only 6 months old? It really ****** me off, as I have three old mac's 10 to 15 years old which still keep plugging on!

Correct. I have had the Safari-crashing problem on all of my iOS devices ever since the first version of iOS 7 came out, and it continues now with iOS 7.0.4. Each time there was an update, I eagerly downloaded it expecting it to be the fix I've been waiting for. No such luck. If anything, in 7.0.4 the problem is even worse than before. Unbelievable.

Same here. I've been an Apple iOS user since the original iPhone, and my new iPad air is so unstable, I can hardly do anything productive with it. Safari crashes almost every browsing session, and at work, my iPhone 5s is useless in meetings, since when I go to look things up in safari, it crashes quite frequently. I've noticed that loading PDFs from safari links is especially problematic, and that's something I do quite often, looking at server specifications and performance reports from my datacenter. Pages with embedded media are also problematic.

This used to be a great platform, Apple. If this isn't fixed soon, I need to look for an alternative.

Yep that's too true!

We're now onto our 3rd iPad Air .. (Replacements done at Apple's advice).

This has totally crashed on us .. Courier picking it up today to return to Apple.

Now we are switching over to an all Galaxy world with the new Samsung Galaxy 10.1 2014 (note 3) to add to our already non-problematic Galaxy Family.

We are aware this iOS 7 problem is not just confined to 64bit machines .. As it's also happening on our 32bit iPads as well .. ie. our iPad 2 & iPad 3's.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY !

Correct. I remain convinced that the main problem here is a major flaw in iOS 7, which (one would think) should be fixable with a software update, and hopefully will be fixed in the upcoming 7.1 (fingers crossed). As I have posted many, many times by now, Safari-crashing problem began for me on my iPad 2 and iPhone 5 as soon as I updated from iOS 6 to iOS 7. Safari on those devices was working fine before iOS 7; it's been crashing ever since.

The crashes continue on my iPad Air. The simple fact is that Apple put out a half-baked operating system that doesn't function properly even on its newest hardware.
