Ios7 problems, safari crashes

This new iOS 7 has ruined the whole ipad experience for me. I use this as a browser, email tool and music library. The browser randomly crashes on a very frequent bases, some times a page opens and other times the same page crashes safari and I have to relaunch. The browser seems sluggish I feel like I just took a giant step backwards. Email is clunky and slow to respond, requires multiple touches to change folders. Music sound terrible, has hangs in sound and generally sounds glitchy. Not at all enjoyable.

I wish I had just kept dismissing the pop up asking me to update.

If you asked me a week ago about the ipad I would have told you it was great. If it was lost or stolen I would run out that day and buy a replacement. Ask me now and I would say good riddance.

Apple really blew it on this one, they took an excellent product and turned it into a frustrating pile of hardware. If ios7 was not intended for the ipad 2 why are their servers pushing it out to devices that they should not.

I have searched and found that I am not alone in these problems but have not seen any solutions.

After erasing all content and restoring as new device didn't work, the Genius Bar did what he said was a more thorough erase of the device (I think it erased the firmware.) He said there was a 98 % chance it would resolve the problem. It did not. Back to the Genius Bar, where I was told diagnostics showed a memory problem. They suggested keeping other apps closed when using safari. No better. More frustration.

Disabling auto refresh wouldn't help. Actually getting the things out of memory might. I agree that Apple has massively booted this version of iOS. Personally I hate iOS 7. I believe that instead of bowing to the "great guru" Mr Ive and his "all things should look like flat c..p" fetish, Apple should have concentrated on taking care of business and debugging. I miss Steve. :) Safari is a bad joke even without the crashes.

I agree. IOS7 is total c--p.

Please bring back iOS6. It was way way better in every respect. I wish apple would listen to their customers a bit more than they appear to do.

I don't agree that the crashing came along with iPad air hardware. My previously totally stable ipad3 started crashing when I inadvertently 'upgraded' to the dire iOS7 system. The level and frequency of my air crashes are apparently identical to what my ipad3 was after iOS7 install. I reckon the safari crashing is purely naff software.

My visit to the Genius Bar - denial of anyone with this problem and suggesting yet another restore would solve it. You know the answer to that one. I showed them this thread. They swapped my iPad. Still the same.

I can see a shiny new Air being rushed out, rather than a software fix. Doubtful that a software fix would work. My Air crashes on Chrome too. Not as often, but it happens.

Some indication that they're aware of the problem would be very welcome.

How do I close all background apps as procedure seems to have changed from the iPad 3? Yhanks

Installing iOS 7 on my iPad 3 was the biggest mistake in my iLife. When the Air came out it looked like the holy grail to solve my problems , lighter thinner and faster.

Boy was I wrong. When my iPad 3 first restarted with iOs 7 my wallpaper no longer looked great , it crashed when I tried changing it. Safari couldn't load a page if it's life depended on it.

IOS 7 reminds me of my HTC OneX with Sense. Every time I switch between apps everything has to reload and refresh. Not even 1 tab can stay fully loaded.

I upgraded to IOS 7 the minute it became available and my new IPad Air, iPad 4th generation iPhone and MacBook Pro are as solid as a rock. My wife also upgraded and she has not experienced any of the problems that you have been experiencing, not one crash, so something else must be going on. You said Apple replaced your Air and you had the same problem. All I can guess reading this post is that your memory was corrupt in your replacement as well. I hate to say this but I would insist Apple replace your Air again. Fool around with the units in the Apple Store. I think you will find these units do not crash. I most certaitly feel your pain and frustration.
