Help! I have no way of getting to an Apple store, i'm overseas

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
I tried to restore the iPod and my iTunes is telling me there is an error and that is not possible
And what does the error message say?
I just got the iPod Touch 4th gen and its telling me the battery is drained..it's been on the charger for about 6 hours now and it still won't turn on..someone help please
