Cable is not certified after I updated to IOS7

Hi! I have IPHONE 5, just recently I updated my phone to IOS 7, then after it whenever I plugged my cable to my phone, this message comes up "this cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone", what is the problem? thanks. My phone and cable is bought in ABU DHABI, so I think the cable is original.

Hi Lawrence,

I did contact apple support and it is still under warranty, I was mis-informed by someone trying to sell me an extended warranty that I did not require.

I did as advised by the support advisor- backed up my data, reset ipad- set up device as new- test the charger, but the warning message still pops up.

We are now at the exchanging of cables stage.

If that fails, they will check my ipad.

Failing that and if they receive enough feedback, they may send another small update to correct the 'bug'.

So, fingers crossed.

Thanks for all the advice.
