delete playlist in itunes cloud

Basically, there are songs in my iTunes iCloud (they are available for downloading on my iPad and iPhone) that are not showing up in any way on one of my computers. They are of course on the originating comuter. How do I access these songs and get them on to my other computer? (I know the old fasioned file sharing ways, and importing via home share, etc - but they *should* be available through iTunes cloud!!)

Also, there are playlists in my iCloud that I have deleted from all comptuers - but they remain in the clous (visible on my iPad and iPhone). How can I remove these from the cloud?

Hello Randy,

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iTunes purchases.

You can download the songs directly to your computer through the purchased section in the iTunes Store. I recommend following the steps in this article to download the songs to your computer:

iTunes 11 for Mac: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store

You can also setup iTunes to automatically download any future purchases using the steps in this article:

iTunes Store: How to enable Automatic Downloads

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4539

Additionaly, you can delete playlists from your iOS devices using this step:

Clear or delete a playlist you created on iPhone: Select the playlist, then tap Clear or Delete.

If you are looking at the list of playlists, you can also swipe left over the name of the playlist to get the delete option. You can review more information about playlists here:

Well, that solves the playlist problem - but the songs in my cloud I am referring to came from a CD I ripped, so they are not purchased via iTunes. WHy not just rip them in the other computer you ask? That is another sore spot all together! Music CD's are increasingly hard to import on ALL of my Mac computers (5 of them) - I managed to get a disk mounted on one of them, one time, and ripped it! Now I want the songs on the other computers. Again, I know how to solve this issue the old fasioned file sharing and home sharing ways.... but there should be an iCloud way!

Hi Randy,

If you are using iTunes Match, you can transfer songs that were not purchased through the iTunes Store using iCloud to your other devices. Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it.

If you currently are subscribed to iTunes Match, you can add an additional computer using the steps in this article:

iTunes: How to add a computer or iOS device to iTunes Match

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4913

If you do not subscribe to iTunes Match, I recommend reviewing the links below. iTunes Match provides the exact feature you are looking for:

iTunes 11 for Mac: Access all your music anytime, anywhere with iTunes Match

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12284

iTunes Store: Subscribing to iTunes Match

If you decide not to use iTunes Match, you can still share your music to your other computers using Home Sharing.

All the best,

Hi Sheila,

Yes, I am using iTunes match. And that was my problem - songs that I had imported into one computer, were not showing up on the other, Although, those same somgs do show up on my iPad and iPhone. So I *know* they made it into the cloud. They just refuse to show up on my main computer - and I've done "update iTunes match" and I've waited a couple days... etc. The songs just won't show up. I finally just imported them via Home Sharing. But, that's not how iTUnes match is supposed to work.
