iPhone 5S freezing

Anyone experiencing freezing issues with their iPhone 5S? Sometimes my phone would just reboot out of the blue or freeze up where i would have to hard reboot it. I don't want to restore it as new due to an app i need for work call Mobilepass. I have tried resetting all settings didn't resolved the issues. Just wondering. Thank you in advance for any inputs you have. 😀

Hello Solid5nake,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

Sounds like we have some unexpected behaviour from this iPhone 5s here becoming unresponsive, and restarting on its own. After having reset all settings, next I would reset the phone:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If the issue persists, I would try and take note if it happens when you are in a certain app, and if so, would suggest this article to help you troubleshoot that app.

iOS: Troubleshooting apps purchased from the App Store

If the issue occurrs no matter what you do, then it does look like the next step would be to backup and restore the device with iTunes.

All the best,

My problem is somewhat similar. My iPhone 5s arrived in the mail today, the for the first couple of hours it was great , but then I started to download an app and it starting freezing like every 30 seconds. I reseted all my settings and now the phone won't even start up! Its keeps showing the iPhone logo for few seconds and then it cuts off and goes to blackish screen and does the process all over again ! I am very upset ! I just got it tody !

Hey everyone - sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I have an iPhone 5S thats only 2 weeks old and is now having this issue. Phone has been using iOS 7.0.6 and its now hung up on me twice - usually in the morning right after a full charge sometime between the 2nd & 3rd use of the phone: Whatever app I'm using will simply not close (even though the app itself will not be frozen), and the phone will require a hard reset before it becomes able to swtich apps or perform any other function.

Has a solution been found yet?

As a former Blackberry user; I'm used to dealing with non-responsive phones, but this is unacceptable for a phone that is 2-3x the cost of a Blackberry.
