iPhone 5S Springboard Crashes

Im a owner of the 5S 16GB 7.0.2 from the release date. But from the release till now i experienced 2 random springboard crashes. Once when i opened the camera from lockscreen and once when i wanted to call someone from the ''recent'' list. The apple logo came up for 5 seconds and it went back to normal.

Is this just bad luck for 2 times or is this something to worry ?

Maybe someone can look to my Crash Report. Im not into that.

Thnx in advance.

Don't worry Michael G.,your English is better than my French! I understand everything you write, no problem.

Ps: if genius or advisor will say that you are the first with this problem don't worry, they are saying the same thing to every one of us. You can show them this discussion and the previous one I posted regarding the iPad air (40 pages of discussion!!!!!!) The problem is common.

Ps: some users have tried ios7.1 beta and reported big improvements...

Keep our finger crossed,

Bye!

No, I think it is not related to springboard crash. The only way to delete usage data is an hard reset or "jboucher614's scenario". I have never heard about crash in standby mode, so don't worry.

"The 64-bit builds of the OS still seem to run into stability issues more frequently than their 32-bit counterparts. I still see low memory errors associated with any crashes. It could just be that the move to 64-bit applications (and associated memory pressure) is putting more stress on iOS’ memory management routines, which in turn exposes some weaknesses. " cited from http://www.anandtech.com/print/7460/apple-ipad-air-review.

In other words: your iPhone is crashing because 1GB of RAM is insufficient for 64bit architecture processor. On the other hand, iOS was architected to run on as little hardware as possible, so I think (hope) that an ios7 improvement could resolve this issue with a more efficient RAM management because 64bit don’t really need all that much more memory. The new processor consumes 30% more RAM than 32bit counterpart, so I think that it can be managed with more efficient management routines.

Something suggest me that next year iDevices will come with an increased memory capacity.

We can only wait iOS 7.1...

Regards.

I have addressed this to the highest level in Apple Support and still there is no solid answer. I have had every version of the new iphone over the last 5 years and NEVER experienced this crashing problem.

I suspect it might have something to do with the LTE chipset. Just a guess, as I am not a designer of the phone.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: My crashing has decreased since restricting my iphone 5s to WiFi and turning off cellular data then only using cellular data sparingly when away from WiFi, which I have never had to do before.

Yet again yesterday the iPhone 5s crashed repeatedly (3 times right after it rebooted with the black screen and Apple logo) on me within an hour of turning on the usage of cellular data. I took screen shots of the incident reports. This is clearly an Apple problem but for some reason they are not admitting to it as it is causing problems for many users.

What if I was dealing with an emergency situation?

I should publish the voicemail message from a Senior Apple representative, you ALL would be shocked to hear what he had to say as to what he is allowed to comment on in writing and how much of these issues are to remain in voice calls only. It only took him six weeks to admit this to me.

Hi!

So yes, your device seems to crash in standby mode.... Moreover the lost of informations on "utilization" is due to a soft reboot (spring board crash), I have experienced the same issue on my device some minuets ago. My Air crashed and I checked the utilization info: no more informations were available....

Unfortunately there is not a definitive solotuion for our kind of problems...
