Facebook integration on IOS7.02

Using IOS 7.02 on ipad 4 16 gb wifi I get the following error message "error signing in, cannot communicate with server" when trying to log into Facebook in settings.

The Facebook app works fine, wifi works fine , all other apps work fine but this doesn't , I have tried resetting the network settings and doing a hard and soft reset. It will not let me delete the account either.

I have seen similar posts but no answers. Platform apps are turned on in Facebook too before this is suggested.

Please help !!

I'm having the exact same problem with my new iPad mini - everything works fine except I get the 'cannot communicate with server' and it doesn't accept my FB password. This is ridiculous since there are so many folks who've written in about this.

I'm going to the Apple store tomorrow if I have time and show them what's happening. I'm hoping one of those geniuses may have some kind of answer.
