How to identify network device from adapter name
Hello,
When I install new network device (like iPhone USB sharing or some kind of modem), the installer creates a device which I can see and configure in network settings. Last time I installed a 3G USB modem, which created a new "en4" device as well as "HUAWEI modem" network device. How can I identify to which driver is such a device assigned in case I want to do a completely clean remove?
Installer was a .pkg, so moving its control application into trash left a lot of files on the filesystem. Using lsbom, i was able to identify these files. But I was not able to find where OS stores network adapter info (some .plist?). I'm attaching a screenshot from network settings. I also found out that "networksetup -listhardwareports" does not show this device. OS version is 10.8.5
