Itunes 11.1.1 Errors occurred during installation...

Errors occurred during installation before Itunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installatoin, run the instaler again. Click Finish to exit the installer. I've tried re installing iTunes 11.1.1 multiple times and I've redownloaded the file. Has this happend to anyone? If so what was the resolution to fix it? Thank You [:

Had this issue, and none of the solutions above worked, here is what I did to fix the issue, Install Itunes like you normally would, admin rights ect. When you get the error message "Itunes errors occurred during installation before itunes could be configured" do not click finish, leave that folder up, no navigate to your appdata directory such as example C:\Users\Your Username\appdata\local\temp, inside there look for a file called iTunes64Setup.log or iTunes32Setup1850.log, open that up and scroll down, look for these key things as in example, "Executing: "C:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe" /i "C:\Users\Crusisxx\AppData\Local\Temp\IXP593.TMP\iTunes64.msi" INSTALL_SUPPORT_PACKAGES=1" so I would navigate inside the folder in my temp called "IXP593.TMP, there you will find all the installation packages, copy all of those files and paste either on your desktop or a new folder ect, once done you can now click finish on the failed itunes installer, now whether or not where ever you decided to place your files you copied from that temp folder you will want to run Itunes64.msi or Itunes.msi ect, and run the installer, you should now have successfully of installed Itunes.

This is the ONLY thing I could get to install iTunes on my laptop with Windows 10. I had already had windows completely updated, tried uninstalling anything apple related, rebooting, disabling virus protection, etc. This method was the only work around. THANK YOU SO MUCH. This should be included with apple's suggestions as an "if all else fails" work around!

Worked like a charm once I understood what I needed to do. Essentially don't finish failed install till you copy the temporary install folder to an alternate location (as in folder on your desktop) because the failed install will delete install files. Wherever you copied the install files to (i.e. your desktop) you will find the install exe and can then run the install and VIOLA!, it works! THANKS!!!

Thank you so much. I was able to pin down the issue to AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi

I followed further instructions from http://www.keyables.com/2015/09/solved-how-to-fix-applesoftwareupdatems.html

1. Win key + R

2. Regedit

3. View => Find

4. applesoftwareupdate

5. Delete parent folder of "SourceList" in which file is found

6. Run AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi

7. Run iTunes64.msi

After two months struggle I resolved the issue

I didn't suggest it was irrelevant, just unlikely to help the particular person your post was addressed to since they made their post four years ago about iTunes 11.1.1. It was an observation rather than a criticism. It can be more productive to help with threads that are currently active. Running the iTunes installer as the administrator often helps, but I also know that it isn't always sufficient to get iTunes for Windows working, and I was sharing that knowledge with you. 🙂

Yes. It almost installs but then it does the "roll back action" and then the error message comes back. My computer is 64-bit and I've downloaded the right version. The thing is, I had iTunes on my computer once and I updated it because it wasn't recognizing my iPod and my iPhone. I used it after it updated a few times then I stopped and coming back to it today, the program failed to open and recommended uninstalling and reinstalling. And here I am to this issue.

No. I updated iTunes through the message prompt when you load it up. It went through fine. After a while, I had to uninstall it when it wouldn't open anymore. The uninstall went through fine too. Then when I tried to reinstall the program, I got the error message. I followed Crisisx's answer to the tee and it still didn't work. I also tried to run it as administrator and still got the same error message. I tried changing the destintation folder (?) as you suggested and it still failed. There's no other program using that's installing so I don't know what's wrong.

The error message I was referring to was the one that comes up in the installer: "Errors occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again." The same one as the question for this thread. I'm running Win 8.1. In any case, I'll try what turingtest2 suggested. I had downloaded an older version of iTunes and it worked all the way through oddly. It's just not compatible with my iPhone but it is with my iPod. Anyway, thank you for the help. I'll post my results as soon as I can.
