    Sorry.. hit return too soon.

In particular, it turned on the cellular data for my music app, and I can't shut it off again.  When I click it to the "off" position, as soon as I leave the cellular data screen, it resets to being back on. This behavior has survived numerous reboots and 2 system updates.

My craigslist app also claims that cellular data is off when it's checked as being on, but I can't turn it off and back on again for the same reason.

    Thank you

    John

    johnformchinalake,

iOS 7 is not an update to the previous iOS 6 it is a whole new OS which is why it resets all settings. Some of the apps have to be updated to be compatible w/ iOS 7 which should come from the App Developers. Similar to (if you are familiar w/ Windows) when Windows Vista came out alot of the Apps and Harware suddenly became incompatible w/ the new OS.

Check to see if the App Developers have put out an update.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi mmitha.

It's not that it reset the settings that's the problem; it's that I can't set them back again.  The settings won't stick for some apps.  for others it will.  given that the Music app is Apple's own app, and that my iPhone has all current updates, I'd hope that it should be compatible with ios7.

    Thank you,

    John

I understand, in that case try the following: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

This will not erase any data, just reset the settings.

    Hi mmitha,

I did that.  It didn't work.  Unfortunately, it actually made things worse.

Not only can I not set the music app so it doesn't use cellular data, but now all my itunes Match music is gone and has to be re-downloaded.  I hadn't thought about that.  since I can't set the app not to use cellular data, I have to make sure to set the music to download in chunks that can definitely be done over the wi-fi overnight or I'll overrun my plan limit.

craigspro also still doesn't turn off.

    thank you,

    John

    Sorry.

    I just finally gave up.

at this point it's a bit of a bummer because I haven't been able to use my itunes Match, for fear it will try to download songs while I'm away from my network.

Turned out the problem with craigspro not working is onavo.  the problem with it not being able to shut off and turn on cellular data?  still apple I'd imagine.

To turn off Cellular Data for an app the app must be running.

    Follow the below steps

Settings>Cellular> When you scroll down you will see list of apps using cellular data.

You can turn off particular which you don't want

Tried this already and doesn't help.

Problem is that after I shut down celular data for some apps, as soon as I leave the "celular data screen" it resets to being back "ON".

NOTE : I've tried already to Reboot my iPhone, update it to last iOS (7.0.4), update my apps and also reseted all Settings and iPhone to default, and also tried to turn application "ON" and then turn "OFF" celular data for it, and these didn't help.

We all know that. Issue here is as soon as we leave that screen it turns it back on.
