I have an iMac and have been using Youtube without any problems until today. Tried to watch and error messgae 'Blocked Plug In' appears. Tired to down loaded the latest version of Flash and at stage 3 have the same message. Reading previous items, tried to change security setting by unchecking 'Allow Java' and nothing has changed. Any ideas?

I appreciate your patience Callaway11 but I simply cannot duplicate the problem, and am at a loss to explain Flash Player's repeated disappearance from your Mac. I have asked others for assistance.
The Safari version
Have you tried other browsers? Same problem? Trying to rule out a Safari issue.
To rule out a system problem, set up a new/test account to determine if the problem re-appears.
I think your going to have to be very systematic to resolve this issue, create another user account on the machine and see if it continues.
I've also noticed you have Google software on your machine, if also Chrome then there has been reports of conflicts between the Chrome version of Flash and the installed one for Safari and other browsers.
Since Apple is not updating Safari on 10.6.8, you should be using Firefox as it is getting updates.
So try your problem also in different browsers as well. Makes narrowing down the issue easier.

I have also had problems with Flash and didn't know it. My weather channel and smilebox icons on the top bar would not open, I uninstalled then reinstalled Flash several times once I realized that this was the problem but it still didn't work. I followed the steps recommended above and it finally works.
