My find on page is not working. Help?

For the last week my find on page thing/trick is not working. I have an Ipad 2 with the latest IOS.7 and when I type my word into the search/URL bar it won't find the word even if I know its on the page. If there is a word it accepts/finds, for lack of better term, and there are multiple of it, it only stays on the first one it finds and does not move to the next. It will move to the next word with some words but not a lot.

Can someone help?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.2

I just want to make sure that we are on the same page here and that we are talking about the same procedure. In this example, I did a search for the words, Search Field.

I start a search for a word on a web page and I tap On This Page on the Safari screen. After tapping the words in the On this Page field I get what you see in the screenshot above.

Clear Safari, close Safari and reboot your iPad and then see if that fixes it.

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear Cookies and Data.

In order to close Safari, Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to Safari and then swipe "up" on the app thumbnail to close it.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

OK, I see what you are talking about and we are on the same page.

I suppose the next thing that I would try is to reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. You will not lose any data or any media, but you will be returning the iPad device settings back to "out of the box" condition and all of your preferred settings will have to be re entered.

It is a little bit of a pain in the butt to reset all settings (I did it myself last night) but it can cure a lot of little OS issues and it's worth a try.
