Hello,
I have a macbook pro with Lion . The hard drive failed. I ran diagnostics on it and says it has bad sectors.
I do not have restore DVD for this. The Hard drive is Hitachi 320G - 2011.
When I replace the hard drive- what is my best option for restoring the operating system?

So you bought Snow Leopard? Your machine did not come with Lion?
Your description and the price you paid sounds like you will get a white disk (no Snow Leopard silkscreened on it) "Replacement DVD, Not for Resale".
It should contain 10.6.6 and work great.
If they're sending the original software, then you should be fine.
The Model I have - the restore CD would not work- I had to have the apple store re-install the OS at no cost.

3 beeps repeated every few seconds indicates a Ram problem, check that your Ram is correctly seated.
