Block "no caller ID" is needed feature

Yeah, I know it's not possible. It needs to be possible.

I'm getting robo called at all hours. I blocked the number, now they call without any caller ID. It's nuts that I can't block that.

Apple needs to add this feature. All unknown callers should go right to Voicemail. Then I can check at a convenient time. It would be nice if they also showed up on the home screen so that I would be reminded to check. I am getting 5-10 sales calls every day. Totally frustrating!! I know that this is a simple feature that could be added. I swear my older iPhone could do this.

I also get these calls. I recently switched from an Android to iPhone. I never got those calls on the Android, but the very day that I set up my iPhone I started getting multiple "no caller id" calls, as well as calls from "91-06" and from more standard phone numbers with distant area codes. The iPhone cal block the ones that have actual phone numbers, but does not offer that option for "no caller id" calls. I called Verizon and they claim that they "can't" do it because the technology doesn't exist. This is a different line than it seems AT&T is giving.

I have found a solution though. After getting increasingly annoyed at the phone continually ringing and having to silence it, I started answering the calls and immediately hanging up. For each number that I did that with the calls stopped immediately. They began again a few weeks later and the same approach worked again.

I checked Verizon to see if I was being billed for anything and I'm not.

Could it be true that Apple just doesn't give a hoot about its users? We know that:This is a reported problem almost since the beginning of the iPhone; carriers will not address it; and it is doable. So where are you, Apple? If you are really here to support your users, DO IT! LISTEN TO US! If you will go go court against the government to protect users' privacy, why won't you give us this trivial fix to boost our privacy? If you have a year when the best you can do for improvements is to fiddle with the size of the phones again, what about a real splash - give us this fix! NOW!
