Apple MAIL seems to only cater for sending photos as embedded images in the body of the message text: Windows recipients expect JPEG photofiles as seperate "Attchments" to be opened by double clicking. This is a far superior method; why doesn't Apple cater for the majority???

But when i did that and open up my sent items, the images were there and not the icons. The recipient can't receive picture and must get the files.
After driving myself and my friend w/a PC nuts, I created a new file folder,dragged the photos into it and sent it as a "windows friendly attachment' worked like a charm.

The problem is that some Windows email setups reject zip files as they can carry viruses!
Try this. Open Applications/Utilities/Terminal. Copy and paste the below into Terminal, then hit return.
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool YES
