how do i lock cells in numbers

How do I lock cells in Numbers? I'm trying to create a spread sheet that will have unused cells and I want to lock them so my associates don't accidentally fill them in and cause the finished product to look muddled.

Forgive me for being dense, but I think I am missing the distinction between "an entire table" and the entire page.

I have 2 simple data entry cells in a one page. one sheet spreadsheet.

Those cells affect 3 result cells, and they affect 2 columns of numbers that are calculated based on the entered data. Again, all on the same page.

Using the Arrange/Lock feature, I seem to be able to lock the entire page, not sections of it. If I select 1 or a group of cells and then go Arrange/Lock, it locks the entire page, preventing the user from redesigning my page, but also preventing them from entering data to get a calculated result.
