League of Legends (LoL) Performance on a MBA 2013 8GB RAM

Hello fellow Mac users, how are you guys going?

I am a user of 6.5 years with a Macbook Black 2007 running SL and soon to upgrade to a 11" MBA pending Mavericks release.

My usage revolves around applications like Chrome, Outlook, Mail, iCal, Acrobat Professional, GIMP, KeePassX, Plex, VirtualBox, Aperture, and maybe some casual gaming like LoL (I did survive using the MBB playing some really old school games before/mainly I game on PS3 anyway).

So using LoL as an average gaming yardstick - do you think I will be able to get away with it on an MBA?

The parameters of the unreleased OS arent given, nor is discussing same here allowed.

Youre asking about the macbook Air which isnt a gaming platform, and its operational efficiency with a game on an unreleased OS that cant be discussed. ..... So,.........

Anyone who gives you any 'definitive' answer is making an err and speculating. And therefore not helping you directly with your question. 😊

Well the 15" macbook pro with dedicated graphics is fine with games,.....but macbook Air is not idealized for same, however I know firsthand that many great games work just fine on same, HalfLife2 AEO2 etc.

As regards to the unreleased OS, ....thats what you and I arent allowed to "assume/ speculate" about on these boards. for many good logical reasons. 😊

The Maverics discussions cover points that are not speculation and/or reference historical behaviour. Here is a summary of the statments I could find:

You will find all the public information about OS X Mavericks here: Apple Releases Developer Preview of OS X Mavericks with 200+ New Features.

For more information on the features of Mavericks see: Apple - OS X Mavericks.

Mavrics will be released this year (fall). No date has been announced. (I wonder how late fall lasts in Cupertinlo;)

Upgrades To Lion and Mountain Lion were $19.99.

The historical precedent is any Mac purchased after they announce the release date will get a free upgrade. Since they haven't announced a release date, history indicates if on purchased a Mac today, one would not receive a free upgrade.
