Music on iPhone keeps pausing by itself

Make sure you are logged out of Apple Music on other devices. I just had this issue and once I logged out on my old phone, it allowed me to play my music freely without pausing.

I tried everything and finally just had to reset the settings. It works perfectly now!

I did notice since I had a prepaid giftcard in my case hidden and that made it skip so mostly for people who use the pockets on the back of their phones for cards this can interfere with your phone such as your music.... I understand this won’t work with everyone sometimes it’s a bug that goes further to assistance but this is what I found out from experience... hope this was helpful for some

How do I see the diagnostic log? I’m sure I have some apps that are obsolete in ios11, I’ve already deleted 2 that are. But I’m sure I have more. I could just go around to every app but that takes too long

Any problems with the headphones always check that the headphone Jack sits flush with the phone. My music on Spotify kept pausing but I noticed the Headphone Jack was not flush with the bottom of the phone so the phone thinks I keep removing the headphones while walking around, which is why it was pausing and restarting every now and again.

A careful (very careful!) dig around with a small paperclip/needle in the whole where the headphones connect and you will find that a load of fluff has built up over time and upon removing allows the headphone jack to sit flush with the phone. No more random pausing!!!

I'm having the exact same problem. the music will pause on its own when playing from the iPhone. happens when playing on the iPhone speaker and no headset plugged in. happens when streaming via bluetooth to a wireless speaker. i do not have the apps you referenced. any other ideas how i can track down the offending app? how do i check the diagnostic log?

You, my friend, are a genius and a lifesaver. My sound has been stopping randomly, I deleted Mo+ and no more problems!

After much effort, looks like I found the culprits!!!

Looking at the diagnostic log, everytime the music player pauses by itself is when one of the background processes for 2 apps also seems to be crashing. Looks more than a coincidence.

The two apps are:

1. GV Phone by Mo+

2. GV Phone Plus by Mo+

The two processes in question are:

1. com.moplus.monkey

2. com.moplus.monkey.gv

I found this out through the diagnostic log. I am not a techie, but seems to be correct.

Don't know why this happens, but I have uninstalled both and now no more pausing!!!

I have emailed the developer with this issue, and hopefully they can resolve it on their next updates.

For those out there that has "pausing" problem, look at your logs and let me know!! Look for the exact date and time (to the second) of the apps that are crashing; should be coinciding with your pausing to the second!

I’m definitely not a techie and have the same problem as you did, I read your solution and don’t understand how to check ‘logs’? Could you tell me how to do that please, and how to uninstall the apps?

I have a problem with this on my Iphone 5s, Ios 7. What worked for me is to double click the home button, and close down all other apps that are open, such as email or text messages. I have no explanation why this works, I assume that perhaps when email or other apps refreshes itself, the music gets interrupted.

Of course this shouldn't happen. Still haven't figured out exactly which app is causing this.

The problem is you are stuck on "headset mode"

Which just means there is something pushing the headphone jack pin and is lodged.

So in return your iPhone doesn't know whether or not headphones are plugged in or not.

When you unplug our headphones from an iPhone the music pauses automatically.

Thus is why your iPhone randomly pauses.

Though it's an old post, I also had the same problem with my new iPhone7 running ios11. I also changed my headphone and it seems to be working fine!! Please try this and see if it works.

Where do you find the diagnostics and what do you mean by two of the same apps corrupting eachother??

My iPod Touch kept pausing all day like when I listen to music on YouTube it pauses and on the music on my Touch please fix this problem that I’m e
