Using Time Capsule without Internet

I previously used time machine and time capsule for wireless backup. However, the time capsule recently tells me that it has verified the backup, and that I must therefore start a new backup. The problem is that I have limited internet usage (less then a full backup), and I am therefore wondering how I would be able to set the time capsule up using a cable to backup without using the wifi.

What type of modem or modem/router do you have?

Do you need to use the wireless capability of the Time Capsule....or....can you consider using the Time Capsule as a hard drive only?

Can you provide the make and model number of your modem?

Hard Reset the Time Capsule by holding in the reset button for 9-10 seconds and then releasing and allowing a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart

Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on the Speedstream modem/router to the WAN "O" port on the Time Capsule.

Configure the Time Capsule to "create a wireless network". You can use the same name for the Time Capsule that you used before and same passwords.

When the Time Capsule restarts, you will have a blinking amber light indicating that more adjustments need to be made.

Post back at that time.
