I have spent the entire morning searching for help but have not found a STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR "DUMMIES". Please talk DOWN to me as i know NOTHING technical nor ANY technical words. Hi Joan,

Not sure if you have iOS 7 or not so wording may be different.

Please can you check the following: Settings>iCloud>Photos and Settings>Photos & Camera>My Photo Stream

Are both of these turned on?

Regards,

Steve

Hi bbnj62,

Joan said in her 1st post that she does not have a computer, so would that mean that if she does not have itunes at least on here ipad or have it set to automatically sync, then they could be there - somewhere? I got the impression that Joan was depending on icloud.

If they're deleted, don't they have to be somewhere? Some kind of hidden trash thing? In 2006 when I was first using Adobe Elements, I edited pictures and kept the edited pictures as the original, mistakenly deleting the originals. I needed some of them, though, and Adobe told me they could not be retrieved. I never deleted trash after that but could not find the originals. Then, in 2010 when the Geek Squad got my data from a fried hard drive, the pictures were there! I was thrilled!

Is that possible? Could they be somewhere? They must be!

(Thanks for the whole itunes back up lesson. I was not aware and we haven't backed up anything to itunes, but I'll save this info for if/when we do.)
