numbers zoom in bug?

i am experiencing what seems like a very old bug in numbers 09.

when i am looking at a spreadsheet and i want to see it closer and larger, i pulldown to Zoom > In. however, the first couple of times i do this the spreadsheet actually gets /smaller/. so i have to run this routine four or five times instead of twice.

does anyone else experience this and/or is there a way to fix this on my end?

also, is there a way to tell numbers how /much/ to zoom in by? for instance by some larger percentage?

i am always running this routine about two or three times more than i would like to because it does not zoom in enough for my tastes and when i add this to all the other (apparently) fixable but weird and idiosyncratic click-throughs that i have to do for some other reason this starts to add up to carpal tunnel when working for more than an hour or two.

TIA

Command-Shift-> will enlarge in coarse steps. It's the keyboard shortcut for View > Zoom > Zoom In.

You can also use the drop-down menu in the lower left corner of the sheet if you prefer using the mouse.

thanks.

i am almost positive it happens over here from time to time and i believe wayne says he gets it so it is definitely a bug.

since i am on numbers '09 it appears to be a very long-standing bug - if in fact it is not something that has gotten corrupted on our systems or there is some other reasonable explanation for why this happens.

cheers
