Who provides wireless internet anywhere and everywhere I go?

I need to be always-on internet everywhere i go and i don't know who could provide me with that? I know that you could use a card for a PC Laptop but what about Macs?

Who does wireless internet for macs?

MacBook Pro 1, 1, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Any "Aircard" that works on a PC can work on a Mac, provided the proper Mac drivers exist.

Verizon has pretty good support for Macs and OS X, although it's not that obvious on the Verizon support site. I have a Verizon Aircard for my Powerbook, and I get at least some kind of connection just about anywhere I go (and I've been all over the US). In any semi-major city, the connection is broadband.

That said, only the Powerbooks and Macbooks Pros will have a slot for an Aircard. In the case of a Macbook Pro, you'll have to wait another couple months for an Expresscard-34 Aircard to be released, and for appropriate drivers to be written.

Macbooks can be "paired" with an EVDO and Bluetooth capable phone, provided the phone has support for DUN (Dial Up Networking). This would work the same way, with the same coverage, as an Aircard.

Verizon or Sprint. As has already been mentioned in this thread, you will either need to wait for an Expresscard-34 "Aircard" to be released by these providers, or use an EVDO and Bluetooth capable phone. Your Macbook Pro will pair with the phone, then use it as a wireless modem.

I use sprints high speed option. I have a PPC 6700 phone, and connect to the laptop via bluetooth. Speed on the net is very usable.

Not sure about the wireless part but there is a company called iPass that offers the facility of using a large number of ISPs all over the world. I could not get their software to launch on my Macbook Pro although it would on my G5. I suppose they have not made it Uinversal yet and that Rosetta will not handle it.

Geez. I don't think there is a service every absolute location in the entire planet. Plus, wouldn't you want to sometimes [...edited...] without having someone buzz you over ichat? Do a google search for a decent wireless provider - look into verizon, etc..

I also always need to be on the internet (work related). Has anyone heard of a provider? Or when one will provide this service. Tried to call Apple. But they we no help. The customer service rep who sold the macpro book said it would work. But he was wrong. HELP
