New Aperture?

I believe that during the video about users and the Mac Pro, that it was stated a new Aperture had been designed for use with Mavericks. In view of there being a new iPhoto, that does not seem far fetched. Haven't found any other announcement about it, yet.

I picked up on the same thing. It was definitely said during the segment with the photographer on the Mac Pro and was waiting for it during the App presentation. Then nothing!

Herd a rumor that something got pulled from the presentation at the last minute because of problems. Don;t know if that was Aperture or not.

Regardless of the version number, Apple really needs to enhance Aperture. Reading other forums, many people are leaving for lightroom because of a lack of solid built-in features. Aperture needs better noise reduction, better sharpening, lens corrections, hdr, and more effects options.

I extended the use of the product by using the Google/NIK plugins. The plug-ins provide better noise reduction and sharpening. It also provided great tools for BW Conversion, HDR, about 200 other effects. I love the photo library management, but its photo editing shortcomes are really starting to show against the latest lightroom.
