Keynote (and Pages, Numbers) 2013 Crashes on startup

All of my brand new iWork apps crash on startup. I've turned the computer off and on again, uninstalled / reinstalled, etc. Nothing works. Suggestions?

Went through the fontbook clean up process described above. Repaired permissions (both from within running system and recovery volume). Removed all 'lost' fonts in Font Explorer (current version), cleared font caches (app & system). So far, nothing is working. All three apps are still crashing. Still have iWork 09 apps in a separate folder, so I'm not dead in the water, but I definitely can't run the new ones.

All other new and updated apps are running fine

Have the Permission "Fetching..." issue in Get info panels for my UID

Manually changed permissions of Keynote to include myself with read/write permissions. No change.

Also started without Font Explorer and only system fonts active, still crashing.

Checked ID in Terminal, and all seems to be as it should be

uid=501(username) gid=20(staff) groups=20(staff),12(everyone),61(localaccounts),79(_appserverusr),80(admin),81( _appserveradm),98(_lpadmin),402(com.apple.sharepoint.group.1),33(_appstore),100( _lpoperator),204(_developer),398(com.apple.access_screensharing),399(com.apple.a ccess_ssh)

Stumped.

Same here, but i discovered how to at least opene Pages. I got to open keynote, but then it kept crashing. I downloaded a pages document from Icloud, and tried to open it. Surpricingly it worked. Same thing happen with Keynote, but im not sure if it still works. This is not a solution to the problem, but at least you could try opening pages, and maybe keynote.

Update: I found a single font, activated through font explorer pro, that was causing the crashes. It was a webfont licensed for a particular domain that had a custom non-sensical name (random combination of numbers and letters). Other fonts from the same family had no issues.

As others had success with turning off all fonts activated through explorer, I did so methodically to see if it was explorer in general.

All iWork apps are working fine now.

I found the fix for my machine at least. It was a single font causing the issue. "style_8412.ttf" was the culprit. After checking whether the "Restore Standard Fonts" worked, I simply moved approximately half my fonts at a time into another folder (fonts-disabled) and then restarted Keynote and pages to check if it crashed. If it did, I knew the problematic font was in somewhere in that set. I was then able to repeat this process and eventually I discovered it was the aforementioned "style_8412.ttf" causing all the headaches (at least for me).

Hopefully this works for someone else as well as it seems to work for me! I'm not sure where I got this font, but I know it was a font downloaded from MyFonts.com at some point or another...

I tried every solution suggested for fixing the iWorks/Pages/Keynote/Numbers crashing issue. Nothing worked despite all the things I deleted, uninstalled, or changed, or how many times I restarted my Mac after each of them. Finally I called Apple support. My 2009 iMac 27" is long out of warranty. But I was willing to pay $19 if I had to, to have this issue resolved. So after an hour on the phone with the most helpful tech support person, it was fixed, on all three apps. I wish I could tell what the multiple steps were, but I was so intent on just following the instructions given to me, and doing what I was told, I have little recall of what we tried and didn't work, and what we tried that finally made the difference. I recommend that you all just bite the bullet and call Apple Support. It'll be worth your time, and your money if that's required for your machine. Go for it and get on with whatever you do on your Mac.
