Safari Update

Ok ... i'm loosing patience with apple ... i just updated my imac, and, i have this annoying page that opens up with all kinds of cites i never visit. I can't even find the right button to delete those unwanted pages, and, i have not way of turning off top pages, is there anything anybody can suggest.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
