Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Failed to verify the preflight file. It is not signed by Apple.

Had no problems downloading and installing Maverick. But now when I try to update any Apps I get this error:


Failed to verify the preflight file. It is not signed by Apple.


Even if I try to download any FREE APP I get this error.


Anyone know what is causing this error?

Try repairing permissions in Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility -> First Aid.


Also do not use any third party utilities for system maintenance, as they may actually cause more problems than they solve.

lexayles explanation worked for me. For some reason my imovie and iphoto were reporting the same issues as everyone else apps. So far so good and as I understand things after this I can turn back the keychain access settings and I wont have the same issues for the above mentioned apps...???... Will see I guess. Wont bother stating the disappointment shared with many users about the decline of apple products and there bugs post release but I will say I agree. How the importance of one man can be such a difference in a huge company I just dont understand.
