Is there any way to customize the size of windows in the presenter display?

I have updated keynote to the newest version (6.0). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can customize any part of the presenter display. I can add or remove windows/panels, but not resize them. Is there really no way to do this? That would be a major drawback and would certainly make me consider going back to a 4+ year-old version of Keynote.

You can use iWork 5.2 or .3 on Mavericks. I have a new MB Air with Mavericks (10.9.2) installed and the old, better, iWork. I use all three components all the time, and they all contain the features I want/need (and discussed in this thread). I still had my DVD from a previous purchase and was able to install it − I don't know if it's available online, though I know Apple won't sell it. I tried iWork v.6 after two different versions and was sorely disappointed with Apple's drive toward unusable simplicity (Sometimes less is simply less...).

How will Apple know that they need to make the note pane variable-sized if they don't hear from the end users? Do they read these forums?

Wait, do you mean that the notes pane can actually be resized now? How do you do that? I didn't notice any options for resizing other than by removing some of the windows so that the notes pane has more space (like a previous user suggested).
