lags in launchpad
MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
Same problem here. I've got the new haswell MBP 15 inch with 16GB RAM. Hoped with this amount of power OS Mavericks would work flawless. Disappointing! Also swiping between desktops and starting up mission control lags a lot. Not a nice user experience! Although it's a .0 version of OS X Apple need to get this done ASAP! Really annoying!!!
Same here, MacBook Air 2013, power enough but much lag. Really disapointing, hope Apple fixes this problem ASAP!
MBA 11" 2013 - hopefully 10.9.1 is on the way with the lag fix
Did any of you install Autocad? If you did, then this could probably be the reason lag started happening. It happened to me; After I installed Autocad (on Mavericks), I had lag when I swiped to see the Mission Control. The problem was solved simply after running Autocad again and quitting. Weird... 😐
I've got the exact same problem on my mid-'11 MBP. As other users have mentioned, the workaround is to make sure you swipe fast. The dev previews of 10.9.1 say that there's unspecified "graphics fixes", so hopefully when it's released it'll fix the problem.
Hopefully...
+1 on disk utility open lag
Mavericks is such a piece of c**p... never had so many budgs and Mac crashes ever.
I've updated to 10.9.1 already and still experience the same problems on my early 2013 15 inch rmbp.....!
Same here 10.9.1 hasn't fixed this issue =/
Did a clean install of 10.9.1 from 10.7.5 and was greeted with this lovely lag. Hopefully Apple fixes this...
same here on MBP Retina late 2013 & MBP 2012 13.3" and 10.9.1
can reproduse the diskutility open lag on all of my macs
Same on my MBA mid 2012 with 10.9.1.
Apple ?
I just updated to 10.9.2 and the launchpad lag appears to be gone. Hopefully that's the same for others...
10.9.2 solved this problem now.
