Q: Mavericks Mail App and Gmail folders

I have installed Mavericks on my MBA.  Now in the mail app, when I drag messages from the inbox to a gmail folder, they leave the inbox.  But if I click off of the inbox and then click back on it - they reappear in the inbox.

Anyone else having this problem?

MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Unfortunately no. It's really annoying but it's better than the permanent syncing.

    "

Is there any formal statement from Apple about upgrades to Mail in 10.9.3 regarding fixes for Gmail?

Well for me even with 10.9.3 apple mail still refuses to sync with gmail. So as far I can see nothing was fixed...

I was wondering too, but had since long moved on to Mailplane.

Ah, too bad. I just spent the last few days redoing Mail from scratch - all defaults. Yet here I am waiting for 2 hours for 10 messages I can see showing up in Mailplane simply not arriving in Mail.

After a while it just stops syncing, even if it was basically working for a day.

Even Apple's suggestion of quitting and restarting Mail doesn't help. It just gets stuck.

Too bad. I was looking forward to maybe trying Mail again. But it is still broken.

This solution fixed my issue immediately. The issues have disappeared. I hope it works for others.  I am going to try it on other machines at work. Interestingly, we see this issue on Maverick, Snow Leapard and Lion, pointing more toward the IMAP issues as the common denominator rather than patches.

For the love of god what happened to MacMail. Why is it that when I delete emails from junk they immediately go to trash, then upon deleting them from the trash they go to the spam.  Also, bottom left of the screenshots, it shows hundreds of thousands of emails loading.  Also, previously to all of this it was taking emails from 2011 and loading them from google. Then When I went to delete them they just move to the junk folder.

    Any help?

Matt, based off what you are saying.  What is the best way to take GMail's tagging or labeling of Inbox items?  Are there rules that you can develop in order to filter, for a lack of a better term, the way that Gmail does but in a structured folder form so we can get the results we want in Mail?
