The iTune itself is bad program itself. I hated before. I can't sync my contact and notes with my computer locally. I have to go through Apple iCloud. I hated even more.

The bad things about iCloud are so many folds

1. We do not know who has access to our data,

2. The iCloud could go away anytime

3. The storage is only 5 G. The storage will soon be used up. I have more than 2000 pictures in my iphone. I accidentally used iCloud. More than 3.5 G space is gone. I can see that if I want to continue to use iphone, I have to pay. What a joke. Apple just wants make a lot of money by controlling its customers.

4. If there is no internet access, we can't sync our data. Can you believe this?

It is genius for Apple to invent Apple store to control the customers and developers. But this is the last straw. I am abandoning all Apple products.

I'm a fond user of Apple products (or "was") until this issue. I own two iPhones (4s and 5), an iMac, two Mac Airs, two iPads, Apple TV and several iPods. One of the primary reasons I switched from an Android platfrom to an iPhone was the ability to sync my contacts and calendar directly with my phone; not going to the cloud.

Similar to many of the complaints in this thread, I am not allowed to synch contacts or calendars to the Cloud due to the nature of my business. Even e-mail is strictly on our company server.

I'm not sure if Apple even bothers to read these threads, but hopefully someone is. Please reconsider this folly. You will lose a number of people.

I also run a non-profit organization with access to tens of thousands of members. I will similarly be posting this up on our FB wall.

You have my details (e-mail and phone number). Hopefully you have the courtesty to respond and provide an update to all of us ASAP.

Does anyone know of the best way to provide feedback to Apple? I don't want to use icloud. Now, I've learned

that I must use icloud to sync contacts (and calendar, notes, etc.) This totally *****! I bought time capsule. I feel totally uncomfortable sharing my personal stuff with Apple's cloud. It's wrong to be forced into using icloud or lose basic functionality.

I was frustrated. Apple sneaking around playing the subtraction game it showed up last year when I was going to do a simple data base and their system was subtracting there too, fortunately I discovered before I pressed the pay Apple now key!

Well I just subtracted myself from the legion of iPhoneiacs. BB Z30 works very well and like the iToy doesn't sync to iTunes either. In the horizontal world I want to play in Apple subtracted me with these greedy moves. Fancy devices and snake in the weeds software.

Now for my next steps, take my library out of iTunes and load it to a platform I choose.

After that when the MacBook Pro decides to pack it in I'll focus on products I like not Apple who seem more interested in less. The sad thing for Apple is they had me... iPod, MacBook, iPhone, MacBook Pro, BlackBerry Z30 breaks their scoring streak, iRiver or something like it is next.

Thanks Apple for returning my life keys I blindly gave away only a few years ago, tomorrow I will educate others to make informed choices that avoid your cloud and nanny state antics... 1984 boooo

i have the same complaint!

Some wise *** at Apple decided that we should use iCloud, but when i did, i copied my iPhone 4 to my 5, not the contacts.

Please Apple bring back the sync contacts, which made your platform a plus over the other ones. One could sync Mac and iOs devices, now if possible, it's opaque

Maybe it's time to consider the enemey... google hemegonic dictature... after all it had Apple to learn from
