since update to Aperture 3.5 tonight the white balance in all of my pictures is completely wrong (way too cool with a greenish tint).
After setting the white balance with the eyedropper it reads on a Whibal grey card
R: 117
G: 188
B: 156

Could it be a Maverick's issue like a changed color profile/temperature/gamma? Look for monitors -> colors in the preferences.
the color profile on my calibrated monitor and the colors of the untouched images are all right. But - if I try to use the eyedropper tool to set wb it gives me completely wrong colors.

no problems with JPEG, but each individual RAW file is changed this way after usage of the eyedropper tool ...
I'm seeing the same issue if I use the "Temperature and Tint" setting. If I use Natural Gray or Skin Tone ... the WB achieved with the eye dropper is fine ... if using T&T ... the tint shifts to the extreme green side of the slider. The temperature holds pretty well, but the tint ... not so much.
It has absolutely nothing to do with monitor color profiles ... I tested on images shot in the studio with monolight pro strobe/softbox combination and a color chart ... same image with WB set using Aperture 3.4.5 showed a temperture of 4422K and tint of -1 ... Using Aperture 3.5 the result was 4465k -45 tint ... that's just way too much green ... A different monitor profile won't correct that issue.
Since only RAWs are affected, which camera brand/model are you using? Just one or a variety? Could it be a bug in the converter for this/these camera/s? Just suggesting, I am still not offered the update so cannot check with my own RAWs.
I am shooting Nikon D300 and D300s bodies ... I have no other raw files to test it with.
Same here with D700 raw images.

the images shown earlier are from my Leica M9, same issues with RAW files from Fuji X100s.
and @ ButchM: yes, it is an issue with the "Temperature & Tint" Setting, "Natural Gray" is all fine.
It seems to affect all raw images, including my 10-year-old old Canon 10D CRWs.
I submitted a bug report on the issue ... let's hope it is a quick fix.
As I recall, there was a recent issue with Nikon RAW rendering following a Camera RAW update that was addressed rather quickly ... I hope this receives the same level of attention.

I cannot replicate this issue. Upon import of new images (RAW) I tested the White Correction using the eye dropper. No issue at all, despite reports here to the contrary.
In the previous round of this issue, it seems to have only impacted people who did not directly download new photos into Aperture, but rather were using some third party software to first do some processing of them.
The previous issue required some sort of fix not only from Apple, but also an update of the aforementioned third party software (Nik apps in that case.)

Ernie .... I NEVER use any other software prior to importation into Aperture, I don't even have any Nik apps or plugins ... and have not invoked any plugins or even Photoshop since upgrading to 3.5 ... This issue shows for images already imported, and newly imported, untouched images.
So far, I have seen at least a dozen other users who can replicate the issue ... various brands/models of cameras involved.
