Mavericks Safari 7 is badly broken - Help!

It means that, even though I had never installed Glims, I ran the uninstaller, just in case. Of course, it made no difference.

Glims is Part of the installation when you updated to Mavericks. So if you uninstalled it..& there's STILL an Issuse then you'll have to dig into the Plug-ins which is located in the Home Folders for Mac.

When I download the uninstaller a window says "GlimsUninstdall.mpkg" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Found the answer and got Glims deleted. Not it seems to work great. My problem with the uninstaller pkg was I had to right click to 'open' and then it worked.

Bingo! Thank-you blackhawk_01... this had me scratching my head until I uninstalled Glims.

I had a similar problem: the computer was running at 100% CPU load whenever Safari was open. Restarting in Safe Mode, removing OSXFUSE and rebooting seems to have solved the problem. Right now, as I type, Activity Monitor is reporting the machine to be no less than 61% idle.

This version of safari is a trainwreak. On 3 different comptuers, all using mavs, safari is broken. It stop loading sites, it will not load things with CSS like github and twitter properly (i get just raw sites with no css markup), I fire up chrome and FF and the same exact sites load perfectly much faster than in safari. Did I mention that it seems twice as slow on sites that it does actually load?

It's pretty much unusable for me, I've been forced to finally move over to chrome.

FIrst Apple screwed up maps in ios, now they killed Safari in OSX, I'm really suprised they can let software like this out.

Oh, and they ruined the bookmarks buton- *** is that supposed to be doing now- I can't even edit the bookmarks anymore in that view.

Try uninstalling Java. I had a problem and uninstalled Java and now all is well..... 🙂

I had the same problem and uninstalling glims worked! I wasn't able to verify that Mavericks had indeed installed glims but running the uninstaller definitely fixed the problem. It seems odd that Apple would install 3rd party software like this without testing it out first.

Any other solutions? Uninstalling GLIMS is not working for me.

No, my code was different from (124) the original posters question so I wna't sure if it appled to my situation. Terminal scares me, so I want to make sure before I mess with it.
