My new iMac cannot upgrade the latest Java to run flash. The error messsage said i couldnt download Java becasuse of no internet connection. But here i am using firefox with no problems. ***? So i downloaded the newest Java, AGAIN, via firefox and it still will not open flash. What is going on?

OK...rest safari and have been browsing with it...went to open flash...NO INTERNET CONNECTION TO DOWNLOAD JAVA...the latest Java is installed...something is up....

running this command on terminal solved the problem for safari:
sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.UserNotificationCenter.plist
