Three finger swipe no longer works on Mavericks

I have just updated to Mavericks.

Prior to installing Mavericks, I was able to do a 3 finger swipe left or right to go back or forward in a Finder window.

After I have installed Mavericks, I can no longer do this. I have checked in System Preferences/Trackpad and the settings are exactly as they were before I updated to Mavericks.

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue and if so have you found of solving it.

Interesting that the PRAM reset has solved the problem for some.

I have tried to reset the PRAM on my late 2012 iMac, but when I press the Command Option P R keys when I switch my iMac on, it just boots up normally to the desktop.

I don't get the computer restarting or hearing the startup sound for the second time.

Could anyone tell me why I am unable to do a PRAM reset on my Late 2012 iMac?

Thanks.

I have the same problem. The swipe-between-pages gesture works in Safari and even in System Preferences but it does not work in Finder. In Mountain Lion I was able to swipe left with three finger to go the previous folder. Then a swipe to the right would bring me back. Unfortunately after the update to Mavericks nothing happens when I perform these swipe gestures. I have tried the setting with three and with two fingers, none of them work. However, I can swipe between full screen apps with four fingers.

I have a Macbook Pro 13" (Late 2010) with OS X 10.9. Natural scrolling is enabled and I have set "Swipe between pages" to three fingers.

After reading this thread I tried to reset the PRAM. It works just as described (the Mac restarts), but it has no effect not even temporarily. Previously I had MagicPrefs installed but I have removed it completely.

The swipe gesture is very important to me since the extraordinary trackpad has always been one of the killer features of Macbooks. No other notebook can match the accuracy and speed of Apple hardware. Thus, the loss of this feature is a major downside. I truly hope anybody can help me and the other affected users.

Same here, since Mavericks, 3-fingers-swipe doesn't work anymore in finder.
It still works in safari, so there is nothing wrong with my settings.

I tried the PRAM reset but no results, and I don't want some 'better touch tool' thing.

Apple just has to solve this.

Like hi-i\'m-jan said, the power of apples trackpad features is eye poking the others.

My opinion: It's just a bug and one of the first coming OSX updates will solve this problem. It's just to important to ignore.

Only question is: When?

To speed things up, we just have to report this problem as much as possible on the feedback section, so apple becomes aware of it.

That's also why I wrote this reply, just to give this topic another hit, so it attracts more attention. (because I admit, I didn't say anything new here)
