I just upgraded to the 5S and it won't log into familiar wifi, like Panera, where my 4 NEVER had that issue?

I am a little frustrated by the possible solution to so many of the iOS 7 issues being, hard reset. That is why I went to Apple/Mac because the solution for 90% of windows/PC issues were Ctrol Alt Delete!

So now when I have a problem with my 5S, I guess my first step will be to re-boot!

Way to take a huge step backwards Apple!

I had same problem with 5s. My fix was easy - I took off the case that had metal in it. I then had no problems. Apparently the metal was impacting the antenna. Actually my 11 year old figured that out! Anyway, wasn't necessarily issue wiht updagred of software as much as coincidence of puttin on a different case at the same time.

This worked for me:

1) logged into my linksys N300 router at www.routerlogin.net

2) noticed a firmware upgrade was available

3) after upgrade, 5s connected to wifi no problem and also win 7 based PC problem was solved as well

If you don't know how to log into your wireless router, search for the user manual

Online....if linksys, www.routerlogin.net......default logins are

I just encountered the same issue when I upgraded from an iPhone 4 to the 5s. I run a pretty tight network and had disabled IPv6 on my router. I did some quick looking around on the forums here and could not find anything definative, but when i enabled IPv6 on my router both my new iPhones immediately connected. Check your router settings and see if that works.

I had this problem - I'm not sure how long, because I think the phone has just been using cellular data when I thought I was using WiFi. I have 7.0.4 now, but it may have started when I had 7.0.3 On the WiFi selection page, the spinner would just spin forever - it wouldn't fail or transition to the blue checkmark. Sometimes, picking "other" and then cancelling would make it succeed. Even when that worked, as soon as the phone would sleep and wake up, it would have lost the network again.

Resetting the network settings (and the reboot that goes with that) seems to have fixed it. Now it connects and re-connects OK after waking up.

In case this helps anyone, I have had issues connecting a couple of iPhones to wifi, and it turns out that we needed to expand the number of IP addresses on our networks at work.

I was puzzled why other phones were ok on the wifi and these just would not connect.

The spinning symbol just kept going even though it immediately found the network.

Same here. And it just charged an additional $150 by AT&T for going over my data plan because my phone was not connecting to my home wifi anymore unbeknownst to me.

Additionally I have two Apple ID's because Apple will not allow me to combine them or get rid of the old one. The first has a two year icloud (me dot com??) membership which was like $70 per year and I cannot use that with my new Apple ID because they won't let you. Now they change the plan to icloud in the middle of my membership so I'm out another $140 dollars paying for an old username I don't use a new Apple ID that won't let me log in to the apple site, storage I don't need on an account I don't use and for which I cannot get a refund.

Ever since the change of leadership apple is making poor decisions. Does anyone like the new icons that are all the same colors so you can't distinguish them at a glance? I tunes goes from orange to red. Not helpful. Contacts goes from an address book to a rainbow Filofax page that looks just like every other icon, photos, etc. you can't change icon colors and shapes apple! That change results in longer week time and for many people more time not looking at the road trying to figure out which bland icon is which. As a result I'm sure people have been injured or killed as the result of these seeming insignificant changes stemming from the new ceo's dislike of the previous boss's linen, paper and spiral notebook theme. At least allow customers using the glass 'will probably shatter into razor sharp shards for the millions of children using the iphone and iPads. Good thinking. Kids will use this a lot. Let's make it out of glass. Oh, and let's not make it water resistant at all despite sweaty hands, ears (held to the glass) etc that come with real life in the field.

Anyway, I digress. So now my iPhone 5s won't join the network it used to be part of. The network that my iPad, other iphone and two macs seem to be connecting with still. And I'm stuck with a monthly bill plus another $150+ tacked on because the company that made the phone just broke it with their update.

I'm furious.

If your wifi is okay for other computers and only iOS devices are having trouble connecting as is the case with me, you can try copying the IP address (use a different final number) Subnet, Router, and DNS info from a working device into the Static IP address pane on your iPhone 5S.

This worked for me...

I got the tip from this site: http://goo.gl/XNz4R6

Good luck - this is a very frustrating issue...
